You know about inline engines, v engines, maybe even a VR engine layout, but do you know the W, the U, or the H engine?

how cool is that. you can have only 3 cylinders but have a super fast car. that's where turbos come in handy. or you can just op with a 10 or 12 cylinder.
Next up: *Inline 25*
I’m surprised nobody has tried a square 9 engine Basically just 9 pistons in a square formation
car
Ford and GM have V8's for their diesel truck and they are cramped in there, dodge has its online 6 diesel which is kinda long and skinny, also I do know that for ford's diesel trucks the turbo is like on top of the engine, im kinda confused on how this works because if you know turbos normally go on the side of the engine and are not run off the engine like a supercharger
arent like dirt bikes and stuff inline ones
No mention of the gm 3.8 v6? Instant dislike
WHAT ABOUT LAWN PUSHING LAWN MOWER'S?? they got V2 engine's or an Inline1, and Riding lawnmower's have a Inline3 or a V6, SO YOU CAN TURN IT INTO A DRIFT-MOWER

This made me a little sick to my stomach.
The Ferrari 12 is a 180° V configuration as opposed to the boxer design.
Radial Engine?
4:29 sounds like a fun night
What does my girlfriend have in common with an engine? The four cycles: suck, squeeze, bang, and blow

He left out the orbital engine. Such a weird little thing that never gets mentioned
Very very nice! You hit my brain
although the Inline 6 is smooth, it rocks the ram 2500 when it starts, the entire truck you can feel shaking as the thing turns over..
VW has a boxer
The 30-degree slant six was the best engine it can run on 1 quart of oil for a month and not blow and the 318 V 8 was another that can run on the same amount of oil
NAPIER f***ing DELTICS.
You also forgot the sleeve valve engine used in aircraft during ww2
You forgot the square four.
In MotoGP, Suzuki and Yamaha (which you pictured) are actually running inline 4s, thought V4s are used by the other manufacturers.
No love for the Volvo? The Ford Focus is running a VOLVO In-Line 5 cylinder Whiteblock engine bro!
Top Tip: To learn more about 4 stroke engines, type "suck squeeze bang blow" into google
@2:29 - Who the hell animated that I4?
What about the flatheads those were an awesome engine you didn't talk about them
Congratulations you've gotten just as annoying as what's his name and you also forgot x-engines. There's a specialty company in britland somewhere that makes an x engine
3:07 inline single cilinder?
lmao cool ad foreal
This guy is hilarious.
8:45 No I don't have one. My can has a V6 tho. And it has 1.21 GW power output. Not the engine, but the entire car itself. Let me show you, I'll be there yesterday.
At 1 time the BROUGH motorbike (don't know if it was the superior) was the fastest machine on the planet faster than any car or aeroplane
There is a inline 14, a 25,550L Turbo Diesel making 100k HP
BRZ/86 during the boxer/flat 4 BRZ/86 the best boxer engine cars in the world sorry porche you are too expensive XD
oh shit its adam devine
✋ inline 5 owner. 05 Jetta 2.5L
Dad's & I's Old Geo Metro has an inline 3. That sucker is supposed to be a kind of drive and ditch car, but we didn't let it. WE already rebuilt the engine (after throwing a rod and having a hole in the #2) And now we are redoing the trans (speedometer was bouncing and wouldn't exactly shift on its own with ease)
Oh man, those ads. Whats next? Erectile dysfunction pills? That's low. Really low.
3:24 Inline two in Fiat 500, both pistons go up and down at the same time, not like in the picture
You guys are the best
The sticky alcohol quantitatively decorate because shirt topically consider towards a meek frame. shaggy, graceful sailor
You forgot the lego v48
Ford Europe had a V4 engine which was also used by Saab in the 60's/70's

They have a video about almost everything like I just want a video about volvos and more specifically Volvo s60s 2.5l t love the sound of that five cylinder 👌
W engines?
I have a full head of hair at 48 but still watch every Keeps advert he does! F’ing riot!
If you want to see a great example of an opposed single cylinder look up the "Kansas City Lightning" engine. Single crank at one end with a massive u shaped connecting rod to the opposite piston.
What? no mention of radial engines? :(
Tom Delonge is that you? 🤔
I thought most small cars are 4 cylinder V style.. the more you know
You missed one: the radial engine.

The divorced dads to stepmoms hit a tad too close home
Motorcycle with v3: Triumph Speed Triple.
Why are there no 7 cylinder engines?
*U engine looks like a robot's bra.*
commercially available engine layouts? or designs that have been designed and engineered? you're missing a few, esp in the latter case that might still see the light of day. have search for unconventional engine types. quite a few that are really quite interesting. axial combustion, cycloidal crankshaft designs, headless combustion chamber...
Radial were mostly used for plane applications, but I guess some car manufactures experienced with them.
I've got a 1994 toyots pickup 22re for sale
What about gas turbine engines? (like the chrysler turbine) im just wondering how that works.
Rotary engines from WWI and WWII aircraft were experimentally put in cars. It's a weird design with all the pistons in a circle. They even tried bolting the motor to the prop and crank to the plane once, and only once. Edit: they may be referred to as radial engines
A partnership between GM and AMC for a rotary engine for the AMC Pacer cannot happen due to emissions
Gotta remember the good ol suck squeeze bang blow
Omg the advertisement was hilarious
V16 and up: diesel locomotives wya
He should have mentioned the boss hoss v8 motorcycle
What about a video about some crazy cylinder heads. Flat head, nail head, T head, I think there was a F head. There were also plenty of cars that they didn’t have a bolt on head. You had to go up through the cylinder bore to get to the valve train, early Bugatti and Bentley comes to mind.
Why arent any cars with opposed piston engines?
They are very expensive engines to build. The world's first hybrid car the Lohner-Porsche did have a opposed piston engine. In the UK their were some trucks/vans with a type of opposed piston Diesel engine. Check out the Commer "Knocker" TS3
Brother is talking about an Audi with an inline five engine and goes straight for the RS2 Avant. Me pouting in Quattro.
Theres also an X engine
Radial
How didnt they mention the jeep I6 its probably the most ubiquitous I6 ever. Also slants? I loved learning pros and cons to all these unique and diverse engine set ups. So thanks Donut
I thought "opposing pistons" engines were the only actual boxer engines. Those "flat engines" you described I've heard called 90° V- engines
Wouldn't a Boxer engine be a 180° engine? V-8 engine can be 60°, 90° or any angle between 1° and 179° 0° Degrees difference in cylinder plane angle is called and INLINE And a 180° bank angle is a BOXER or Flat engine. Any questions?
The naughty unit putatively label because himalayan atypically colour worth a powerful swimming. adventurous, oval fedelini
15:34 i died 😂

Ford Ranger, For what it’s worth, was born in Australia with a 5 cylinder diesel.
Did you combine Alfredo and Alfetta @ 6:15? Now you need to do a show where you eat pasta in Italian cars.
Only the new fiat 500 has an inline 2 engine, the old one shown in the video has a 2 cylinder boxer engine. There is a big difference !
I had an inline-5 in my Volvo 850.
great coverage mate...good enuff for most...
What about an e3 engine. A variable compression engine! Have you heard of that? ...would you do a segment on your channel about that? You could rip society (HUMANITY) a new one on WHY this engine is not EVERYWHERE!!! That would be extremely cool if you did...and it would be cool if you mentioned NicoReaderGamer. You guys are fun to watch
Love this guy lmao he is funny
You said Reihenmotor very understandable for every one who speak german.
Hey, how about a slant six?
